Mode of action and benefits

Fast-acting foliar fertilizer
Supplies the young leaves in particular directly with molybdenum.
Supplement to soil fertilization when Mo availability is poor, for example on acidic soils or during main growth phases

Molybdenum foliar fertilizers are specially developed for application to leaves. Molybdenum (Mo) is an important nutrient for plants, required for various processes in plant metabolism. A molybdenum deficiency can lead to various growth problems in plants, such as yellowish leaves, reduced growth, and reduced yield performance. Foliar application can quickly counteract an acute nutrient deficiency and improve plant health.

Application of the molybdenum foliar fertilizer can be combined with other foliar fertilizers and compost tea.

Application and rates

Crop	Application rate
General	Foliar fertilizer for molybdenum supply, application rate 0.15–0.25 l/ha in at least 200 l water/ha.
Cereals	For molybdenum supply and good harvest quality: 1 application at 0.15–0.25 l/ha at ear emergence (BBCH 49).
Hops	For molybdenum supply 0.15 l/ha as foliar fertilization.
Brassicas, leafy and bulb vegetables	For molybdenum supply, against “whiptail” symptoms and heartlessness: 1–2 times 0.25 l/ha as soon as sufficient leaf mass is present.
Oilseed rape	For molybdenum supply and against “whiptail” symptoms: 1–2 times 0.15–0.25 l/ha from the start of stem elongation.
Sugar beets	For molybdenum supply, against “whiptail” symptoms: 0.15–0.25 l/ha between the 6-leaf stage and row closure.
Grassland	Improving nodule formation in legumes: In spring from the start of vegetation, 1–2 times 0.25 l/ha.
Lupins	For molybdenum supply from the 6-leaf stage 0.25 l/ha as foliar fertilization.
