Mode of action and benefits

For sulfur supply via the leaf – as a water-soluble formulation
For yield and quality – sulfur is needed to build amino acids, protein, enzymes, and vitamins.
Increases oil content and improves feed quality.

Sulfur foliar fertilizers are specially developed for application to leaves. Sulfur (S) is an important nutrient for plants, necessary for the formation of proteins, enzymes, and chlorophyll, and plays an important role in various metabolic processes in plants. A boron deficiency can lead to various growth problems in plants, such as yellowish leaves, reduced growth, and reduced yield performance. Foliar application can quickly counteract an acute nutrient deficiency and improve plant health.

Application of the sulfur foliar fertilizer can be combined with other foliar fertilizers and compost tea. Do not apply with herbicides or calcium-containing foliar fertilizers.

Application and application rates

Crop	Application rate
General	To prevent and correct sulfur deficiency: 2–10 L/ha as foliar fertilization in at least 300 L/ha water.
Wine	3–4 L/ha from green shoot tips (BBCH09), 4 L/ha from start of flowering (BBCH61), 4 L/ha after flowering (BBCH71). Max. 8 foliar applications. Water volume 200–1,000 L/ha. With a water volume of 200 L, apply 4 L PhytoGreen® Sulfur800 product without any additional tank-mix partners. For higher water volumes and/or lower product rates, see compatibility.
Cereals	For sulfur supply and better N utilization, for lower susceptibility to powdery mildew, to increase protein content and thousand-kernel weight (TKW): At flag-leaf stage and for ear treatment, apply 3 L PhytoGreen® Sulfur800/ha each time with the fungicide measures.
Hops	Correction and prevention of sulfur deficiency: If needed, several foliar applications at 0.2%–0.4%.
Maize	For sulfur supply and better N utilization: 5 L/ha from the 4-leaf stage. Seed treatment with 250 mL/unit (or 0.5 L/ha) is also possible.
Oilseed rape	For sulfur supply and better N utilization, to increase oil content: Apply 5 L PhytoGreen® Sulfur800/ha 1–2 times from the 6-leaf stage until early flowering (when applying together with other products, max. 1 L PhytoGreen® Sulfur800 per 50 L spray water).
