Natural Rock Salt
Our natural salt is a pure natural product – free from additives and environmental pollutants. It is carefully extracted from depths of 400–750 m and is characterized by its high proportion of pure white salt crystals.
Effect in Crop Production
Sodium is particularly valuable for crops such as sugar beets, fodder beets, chard, spinach, and various types of cabbage. There it can partially replace potassium, increase photosynthetic performance, and improve yield as well as leaf quality.
Additional Benefits in Feed
Natural salt also has advantages in animal husbandry: it increases the palatability of roughage, stimulates feed intake, and thus contributes to better nutrition of the animals.
- Ideal grain size for versatile application
- Completely without artificial anti-caking agents
- Unaffected by modern environmental influences
COMPOSITION
The product contains approximately 99% pure sodium chloride (table salt). The remaining portion of approximately 1% consists of valuable minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium as well as other essential trace elements.
Application of Natural Salt in Crop Production
Mineralization in the Field
- Salt is easily leached in the soil, especially on sites with high precipitation.
- The recommended annual amount is between 10–50 kg/ha.
- Simply apply with a field sprayer.
- Conduct a soil analysis beforehand and avoid chlorine-sensitive crops, e.g. potatoes, beans, vines, or certain fruit and vegetable varieties.
Mixing with Compost Tea
- Salt can be combined with compost tea, maximum 10 kg/ha, to avoid harming the microorganisms.
- Just 200 g/ha natural salt reduces surface tension, so the tea adheres and distributes more evenly – completely without additional wetting agents.
Use with Ferments / EM
- For herbal ferments or the propagation of Effective Microorganisms (EM), 0.2% natural salt can be added.
- It stabilizes the environment and supports the growth of beneficial microorganisms.
Caution: Too much salt inhibits fermentation – use only small amounts.
