Clog-Free Nozzles for Field Sprayers: Ideal for compost tea and microbial preparations at 1-2 bar pressure

Our innovative nozzles were specifically developed for the gentle and efficient application of compost tea, microbial preparations, and nematodes. Thanks to their clog-resistant design, they guarantee reliable application even at low pressures of 1-3 bar.

The funnel-shaped design prevents fine particles from settling and clogging the nozzle. The large 1 mm outlet meets a slightly curved deflector plate, creating a fine, even spray mist despite high flow rates and low pressure.

However, these nozzles are not drift-reducing and therefore not suitable for crop protection or herbicide treatments!

Optimal Leaf Wetting and Foliar Fertilization:

At a driving speed of 8 km/h and a pressure of 1.5 bar, a spray mixture quantity of 247 l/ha is applied. This is an ideal amount for good leaf wetting. For optimal effectiveness, we recommend a mixture of 80-100 liters of compost tea and 150-170 liters of water.

If you add foliar fertilizer, it is advisable to use a water quantity of at least 200 l/ha. This ensures excellent leaf wetting, prevents an excessively high concentration of nutrients that could lead to leaf burn, and keeps the leaf moist longer for improved nutrient absorption. Good leaf wetting is crucial for plants to optimally absorb the nutrients offered via the leaves. This supports plant growth and vitality, especially during phases of increased nutrient demand or restricted nutrient uptake through the roots.

Many of our foliar fertilizers are recommended at a concentration of 0.5% – 1%. To ensure sufficient application, it is advisable in certain situations to spray up to 400 l/ha. Our nozzles are very well suited for this. A higher water volume also protects the microbiology in the compost tea from excessive salt stress from the fertilizers.

Please note that the FT-140-06 nozzle is round. If you are currently using a different nozzle shape, you must switch to a round bayonet nut. You can find it here:
