Mode of action and benefits
Zinc foliar fertilisers are specially developed for application to the leaves. Zinc (Zn) is an essential trace element for plants, necessary for various processes in plant metabolism. A deficiency of this nutrient can lead to various growth problems in plants, such as reduced growth, leaf discolouration and leaf damage. Acute nutrient deficiencies can be quickly counteracted by application to the leaf.
Chelated nutrients improve absorption and plant availability for optimal nutrient uptake.
The application of the zinc leaf fertiliser can be combined with other foliar fertilisers and compost tea.
Die Chelatbildung
Ein Chelat ist eine chemische Verbindung, bei der ein Metallion an ein grösseres organisches Molekül, den Chelatbildner, gebunden ist. Diese Bindung bildet einen stabilen und gleichzeitig löslichen Komplex. Der Chelatbildner geht in der Regel Mehrfachbindungen mit dem Metallion ein, wodurch eine ringförmige Struktur entsteht. Diese einzigartige Struktur des Chelats erhöht die Stabilität und Bioverfügbarkeit des Metallions und verhindert, dass es ausfällt oder für Pflanzen oder Organismen unzugänglich wird.

| Strawberries | Flower bud development and winter hardiness: 3-4 l/ha in autumn over the leaf. |
| Vegetables | For leaf quality and initial development: 2-4 l/ha at 15 cm growth height over the leaf. |
| Corn | Cob filling :1-2 times 2-3 l/ha over the leaf from 4 leaf stage. |
| Citrus plants | 0.25-0.5% foliar spray. |
| Cereals | For yield increase and grain quality: 2 l/ha from 2 leaf stage over the leaf. |
| Hops | Bud & shoot development and quality: 3-5 times with 0.05-0.1% solution over the leaf from 1 m growth height. |
