Calcium stabilizes cell walls and thus strengthens plant tissue from the inside out. Good calcium supply increases tissue firmness, reduces microcracks, and makes it harder for fungi and bacteria to penetrate. Young, fast-growing plant parts in particular depend on a continuous calcium supply, as calcium is hardly redistributed within the plant. <\/span><\/p>\n

Calcium also regulates cell division, controls membrane stability, and improves nutrient efficiency, especially in interaction with nitrogen and potassium. In stress situations such as heat, drought, or strong vegetative growth, calcium uptake via the roots often decreases\u2014foliar application closes this supply gap in a targeted and fast way. <\/span><\/p>\n

Adequate calcium supply reduces physiological disorders such as leaf necrosis, blossom-end rot, internal browning, or bitter pit, thereby indirectly lowering disease pressure. PhytoGreen\u00ae Organic Calcium is generally compatible with copper hydroxide and other common crop protection products. However, since not all practical contingencies can be foreseen, a jar test with small quantities of the products intended for spraying is advisable in all cases.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
